There is always a little relief when my training plan calls for an easy 2 miler. But the relief is short lasting, it takes more time to get ready and get out there or get to the gym, then it does to run the distance! Those of you with kiddos realize that half the effort of a workout goes into getting out of the house (extracting babies from your limbs, wiping snot of your running tights, chasing your three year old down to get your Ipod).
At the gym, earlier this week, I was supposed to pull a measly two miles. With the girls at home, and nothing hanging over me to get done, I headed to the stretching/ab area when I was done running. I paused once I was in there. Hmmmm. What should I do? Crunches? Planks? How do I use that medicine ball without hurting myself?
Then I remembered a FREE app I had downloaded ages ago and never used. Nike Training Club.
your very own "butt kicker" |
Menus of ways to kick your own butt |
Under the Get Focused section they had a bunch of 15 minute work outs including one for your abs. I went for it. Not only was I feeling the burn 30 seconds in, but the app timed it all out for me and showed videos of the moves I wasn't familiar with. Easy!
Did I mention it was FREE?? Love that price! Obviously Nike doesn't pay me for my review, I just was pumped to find a new tool to get it done at the gym! Now I can look a little less foolish as I navigate my way through they gym!
I had not heard of this ap and I am going to download now. Thanks for the review!!!!
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think of it! Thanks for the comment!
DeleteMy sister-in-law showed me that app. I just downloaded and hope to use it soon. Glad someone else thinks it is good too.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you try anything else, I have only tried the ab burner
